It would be useful to add to the tasks filter a worfklow calendar filter. For accounts preparation tasks, we use workflows and some worfklow deadline dates are sometimes 4 to 5 months before the actual clients' accounts filing deadlines. So having a workflow deadline calendar would ensure that we can see such tasks appearing on our lists much sooner than actual tasks deadlines.
Hi David,
Thank you for your message and for the clarification — I really appreciate it.
I realise now that I marked this as "shipped" in error, having confused it with a different request. I appreciate you pointing that out.
I've reopened the request and noted it for future consideration as we plan upcoming improvements.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback — it’s always valuable.
I see what you did there!
You marked this as 'shipped' but it is not 'shipped' in line with the spirit of this request. Maybe I could have been clearer. Or I do not see this workflow deadline calendar yet, in which case please let me know how this is supposed to be working.
I know about and use the workflow and task deadline sorting option. It is very helpful but it is not the same as a filter which will only list all the tasks with a workflow group deadline within a chosen date range. I will give you an example:
I want to list all the tasks I have to work on during October even if their deadline is in 9 months. On those tasks, there are some subtasks in a subtasks group which have a deadline of 31 October.
Currently, if I want to FILTER the above tasks, I have to select a date range from today to 9 months. The filter only understands tasks deadlines and not subtasks group deadlines.
If I do not do the above and only select the date range from 1 to 31 October, the tasks which have a deadline in 9 months, but have workflows with subtasks group with a 31 October deadline, will not be picked up by the filter
Please let me know if I am not looking in the right place for this new workflow deadlines filter, or if you have any question about the above request which I hope you can re-instate.
