Add Review step in the Autogenerated Tasks for Accounts, Self Assessment and Management Accounts.

Currently When an Accounts/Tax return Task is Generated depending on what services are required. AM will create the following tasks.

Bookkeeping, Accounts preparation, CT600, Self Assessment, Companies House Submission. etc

It would be helpful for a step between the Preparation and Submission. Called Review.

The reason is, that the person who does the review is not the person who Prepares or Summits it. Also, the reviewer is not always the same, so we can change the name by simply changing who it is Assignee to. We do not have to go into the preparation workflow (where our current review is) and change multiple steps under the review section of the workflow.

Or another workaround will have a different assignee, Maybe look like

Assignee 1

Assignee 2.

Then you can have an option in the workflow, have an additional option in the workflow setup for Assignee 2.

Thank you Jonathan. I understand your job flow chart. It would be useful to get a solution which is applicable to many users' circumstances. Easily re-assigning existing subtasks groups belonging to the various roles, as defined in your flow chart, or selecting multiple subtasks within a group (or across several) and quickly re-assigning them to another option, could be an ideal option in our practice setup. :-)

The picture should read 'who is involved'

Hi David, thanks for your message, we use a workaround in the workflow. But all I know I can not come up with a perfect solution. it will be good what happens

Hi Jonathan. Would a better way to update workflows work for that? We also find it tedious that when you need to change an assignee in a workflow, the process is long winded and has to be done for all subtasks. Maybe something along the lines of 'edit workflow, select quickly subtasks, or select the whole subtasks group, and then right click, re-assign to a new person'? This could give more flexibility and options than just 2 x assignees. Let's see what they come up with. :-)
