We recently signed up a ltd company with two directors, both want to be treated as equals, no buts or ifs, both should get the same email at the same time, same document uploaded at the same time, call it what you will, all in equal measures, always. Can both types of contacts be equalised (at least optionally) in terms of emails sent by default when we upload a document into the company's document centre, reminders, etc. etc. We have to be very conscious of not upsetting one of the directors, because they are "secondary". Who wants to be a spare? Not to mention limited companies with more than two directors. This really needs to be upgraded, as the current way of treating just one contact appropriately is not up to required standards, both by us and our clients.
HI Dan. Absolutely. It would be even better if on top of a solid contacts management and documents manager, we could directly communicate with clients from with this. The level of engagement from clients could be facilitated even further. Fingers crossed! :-D
Hello David, I agree, it is a real shame that it cannot be scaled up to bigger client. Another thing I really wish that contact management could be improved upon is an option for clients and us to message each other within the client portal (so no emails are exchanged). At times clients do not wish to share certain information using emails, over security reasons. It could also allow us to keep more efficient and streamlined communication channels with bigger clients. We used to have it on CCH OneClick, which in itself was ever so clunky and bone dry basic, but it offered this basic, yet ever so helpful feature.
Hi Dan. The BM contacts management as well as the documents portal need a complete rethink and a lot more development with more than 2 x contacts accessing it, as well as access permissions settings. BM contacts and portal are OK to use for ITR clients or small companies. It could do with being upgraded to serve larger companies. It is an area where BM is lacking from our practice standpoint.
