Will you be upgrading the AML functionality for the new Companies House Legislation

I was just asking support whether there were any plans to add in a new field to record the new personal codes that are being issued by Companies House to clients when they verify their identity. Some clients have already verified their identity and have been issued with a personal code. We need a central place to record these. Support have advised that there are no plans to add in a new field and have directed me to logging an idea on here.

Thanks for the update James, do we have a timetable? It would be good to be able to do this by September to give us a 12 month run at the implementation date.

Thanks for your votes on this idea - and we will be implementing ID verification as part of the Bright suite - we have some exciting ideas as to how we will make the chasing of Director & PSC details, completion of ID verification and obtaining individuals Personal ID Numbers a breeze.

We are in regular communication with Companies House on the ECCT changes and will be delivering an end to end solution to support in all aspects.

Good question guys. It would be great to have functionality for such ID checks to be completed by new clients on registration i.e. as part of the engagement letter and registration form workflows, add a step for photo and ID verification to be completed.

Excellent question which hopefully will be picked up on by the BM product development team!

It would be great if on top of AML & risk assessment functionalities, BM can handle the new ID verification (IDV) requirements. Hopefully, if this comes to fruition, it can also be made available to users who do not use the BM clients' portal, or at least not until they develop the currently limited Document Manager / customers' portal.
