Work in Progress (WIP) Diary

Accountants often need to keep an ongoing record of client interactions, calls, emails, decisions, agreements, and next steps. That isn’t well served by the current Notes function. These details are crucial for continuity, handovers, and compliance evidence.

  • Option to view WIP Diary in a split screen with the existing Timeline.

  • Add a Work-in-Progress (WIP) Diary to each client profile.

  • Functions like a running notepad for quick entries after calls or meetings.

  • Fields: free-text note, tags (Call, Email, Task), “Next step”, due date, owner.

  • Visibility controls: Public (team), Private, or Restricted.

  • Ability to convert entries into Tasks, link to documents/emails, and filter/search.

  • Export WIP entries to PDF/CSV with timestamps and authors for record-keeping.

This would turn the client page into a true single source of truth for current work, reducing missed actions and improving efficiency.
