Within a workflow you come across times you have to create a new task that is outside the work flow. an example of this could be you are onboarding a client, then you have to set up a new tax. If you leave it within the onboarding workflow you may have to wait for HMRC to come back to you. Which delays the rest of the workflow. So if you can create a new task within the workflow (like when you send an e-mail in the workflow). then that can be completed outside in this case the onboarding workflow. Also you can allocate that new task to another member of the team. The occasional task list (rubbish name I know) Will be just task that are not connected to services and not a recurring tasks. It has it own list. This can not only be used within the example I said above. But if you have a task that happen on the odd occasion. Let say training an Client on cloud software, chasing bank statement or internal administration task like employing staff and HR around that.
