New Timer - time log improvements

Would it be possible to add the start time of your task in the new time counter ? I would find useful to click on the timer icon and be able to add the time I started this task. I would also like to be able to add time manually to a time log. At the moment, you can only start and stop the timer but cannot add time to a time log.
