I need more manipulation over the task list - need to remove PAYROLL

I need to be able to remove the repetitive monthly tasks from the task list without having to filter.. most importantly the PAYE as it always takes up pages of the next task but the frequency of its repetition and the space it takes up prevents me from clearly seeing the bigger less frequent tasks ahead which is what I need on the front page rather than a daily reminder of all the next Payrolls
