All notifications are created equal, but some are more equal than others. When sending a notification to a colleague, it's important that it stands out. Additionally, notifications from specific clients or urgent tasks could be highlighted. Consider pop-up notifications at the bottom left or right of the screen (as per the Windows 11 example provided) for those who prefer them; there could also be an option to disable pop-ups for those who don't. For instances where numerous important notifications exceed screen space (especially on devices with resolutions under 1400px, where this could be the default setting), they could appear as a floating icon with a count of Very Important Notifications (VIN). Clicking on it would direct you to a dedicated section of the Notification Manager, where these prioritized notifications are ready for review.
Sending notifications via email to colleagues might also be effective, considering some may not regularly check their notifications.
Document upload notifications could do with a preview and email buttons. This layout would work much better, at least from my point of view:
Hi Dan. I think this is a good idea. Beyond this, a fully fledged notifications manager within BM should be made available, so that each company can configure how notifications work within their company/practice. It is important to get the right information to the right people, and at the right time. And overwhelming staff with too much information they do not need should be avoided.
