Email Sender Settings

I wanted to raise a broader system improvement suggestion, as the current setup presents some practical challenges for us.


At the moment, having emails sent from whoever enables or sends the form does not align with how client relationships are managed. Each client has an assigned Manager/Preparer, and communications ideally should come from that individual to maintain consistency, clarity, and a professional client experience.


This becomes particularly important when using forms at scale (e.g. Tax Return Checklists or other client information requests). These are often enabled centrally, but it is not practical to manually amend the sender for each email in the queue. Doing so introduces unnecessary admin time and increases the risk of errors.


It would be extremely helpful if there were an option to choose the sender when enabling forms - for example, a toggle or dropdown to send from:


  • The user enabling the form (current behaviour)

  • The Client Manager

  • The Client Preparer


This would allow firms to use the functionality more efficiently while ensuring communications remain aligned with client ownership.


As more processes become automated through forms, this limitation will likely impact a wider range of workflows, so having this flexibility would make a significant difference.


I appreciate this may not currently be possible, but I wanted to formally suggest it as a potential enhancement.
