The option to add variables into the subject line on a custom automated email

When creating a custom email for VAT reminders it is not showing how many days till deadline like it does with the readymade templates. If this option can be added to the custom emails it will be a great help.

A deselect all box for the client list when bulk emailing

Could we have a deselect all/select all button at the top of the client list for emailing? I appreciate we can filter the client list as much as possible but there will still be times when we want to select certain clients to receive a bulk email.
